Christina Thomson, JD
General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Christina Thomson, JD, joined APT in 2009 after spending nine years at Avigen, Inc., where she most recently held the position of Vice President, General Counsel and oversaw all legal functions for the company. She also served as Avigen's Corporate Secretary and Compliance Officer. Ms. Thomson is a registered patent attorney, and has significant experience leading patent portfolio strategy as well as successfully prosecuting patents to issuance. Ms. Thomson has been involved in numerous major corporate transactions, including transactions with Bayer AG, Genzyme, Sanochemia, and Baxter. Prior to working at Avigen, Ms. Thomson worked as a patent attorney with the law firm Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP in Newport Beach, California, as a patent agent with Madson & Metcalf, P.C. in Salt Lake City, Utah, and as a scientist for Myriad Genetic Laboratories. Ms. Thomson holds a J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law and an M.S. in biology from the University of Utah.
